Hi, I am Laura Jost.
First of all, I am thrilled you are here, welcome and thank you for stopping by! I am a photographer servicing the DFW area & beyond!
I have been behind a camera since I was 5. My best friend, also my photography buddy & business friend, would "borrow" our parents film cameras and take turns modeling and being the photographer. When I truly fell in love with the idea of making photography my hobby, outlet & job, is when I met my favorite teacher in my very first photography class, Mr. Bigham. The moment I walked in his 9th grade photography class, I knew I had found my favorite mentor. He showed me the in & outs of film photography, the dark room, processing film, & the beginning of photoshop & digital photography.
Since high school, I have continued photography on the side as I am a Kindergarten teacher during the day! I have been a teacher for 12 years & a photographer for longer.
My high energy needed to keep 5 & 6 year old kiddos engaged, transitions well into my photography business. I'm not afraid to be silly to get the attention of a pup, baby or someone that just needs a reason to laugh!
My motivation...life is short, time is fast, there is no replay, no rewind...so enjoy every moment as it comes. I would love to capture memories to last a lifetime for you!
